Mattie-Ross

Mattie Ross is our heritage Dam. She is a 50-pound Fox-Red Labrador, her sire is bred half American and half English which gives her a splash of blockiness to her with a beefed-up strength. She is one of the kindest Labs and wants to be in your lap if she can. In the field she is ‘on’  and ready, and has never offered to hunt for herself. She is on command all the time and will bust through tough terrain. People notice her manners and her shiny red coat immediately. She is a good close working dog that loves the water and works to please. She has strong retrieving drive and great blind manners. Her litters have been strong and healthy  and she is a natural at caring for her pups with very little outside help needed.
